LNER 4464 Bittern
Two images of Bittern whilst she was taking on water at Challow Station. 13 August @ ~ 1130.
A rousing departure, given the fact that the engine must be around 75 years old.
Running on the GWML from London Victoria to Bristol Temple Meads.

Ay up, NG!
Lovely shots - those valances really add summat to a "Streak", don't they?
I just wish that railtours were provided with summat other than a total rag bag of stock, though!

I think she is out again on Wed (or Thurs?)

G'Day Gents
Nice to see Bittern out working for a living again.
I agree with BB on that request about the coaches, Bittern looks like she's taking a load of old withdrawn stock to 'Donny' for scrapping, even 'Teak' Mk 1's would be better than that mismatched ensemble of coaches.
Bring back black and white photography

As requested, two B&W images of 4464 @ Challow.
As stated, B&W has a feel about it most suited to steam locos.

Thank you Neil, that's quite an improvement, doesn't look half as bad.

Stunning photos, thanks for sharing. Nothing like an A4 in full-out LNER colors in steam.
