60009 on the Highland mainline

That takes me back.

My brother and I were aboard.
Run by BR Scottish Region according to my records.
Day return Edinburgh to Aviemore £14.00 with,it looks like,a return trip to Boat of Garten on the Strathspey included.

We took water at Perth out and back.
Looking at my slides it was a damp,dreich day in the Highlands.
