Well ones humility is a plus point as well because one is doing something brilliant Dave.
Essentially you have shown how to take the basic parts and raise/improve to a new level.
The nature of the thread has also illustrated not just how but what and the end result.
By illustrating one is enlightening and that is truly brilliant.
The work you are doing on these coaches is truly inspiring. And as for the level of detail you are employing... are you by chance a dentist or model architect by trade?

Anything weird or unusual will catch my interest, be it an express or locomotive
I'm also drawn to the commemorative, let's hope Bachmann will produce 6165 Valour.
Well... thank you again IAK and Manxman.
As for my job I work in an architects office, I try to do some in my lunch break (1hr) much to the piss taking of my work colleagues. Here is a pic of whats ging on now..as you can see I'm working on seats.
Mike, thanks for planting those ideas but I think a table lamp is as far as it will go....sorry to disappoint (I'm not insane yet).
As I'm getting ready to paint the teak finish I thought I would experiment on the 1st D113 and D10C, so I've given the bodies a coat of Halfords red primer on top of the gray, I'm hoping this will tint the top coats I will apply, to give a red/orangey appearence....we will see if it works as I haven't a clue if it will.

Halford's Volkswagen Brilliant Orange is a good base colour.
Dave I am utterly gobsmacked by the level of detail you are putting into the seats and tables. They are fantastic!
I was at Pickering today discusing this with Sawdust and he thinks you need to come and take time out working on our 12" to the foot examples!
60044 asks whether you are going to put plates and cutlery on the tables? He says he used the round waste bits from a hole punch as plates and little bits of wire crimped as knives/forks!

I'm not sure the LNER put flowers on their tables, with all the tableware they used I don't think there would be enough room, from memory the interior pics I've seen don't show any or salt & peper pots. It's a beautiful model......is it a Mr Banks job, looks like his work ?.
I still think knives and forks are beyond me, and a fork to far.
I am amazed at your dexterity - truly stunning work Dave. On the subject of tableware, would a simple printed image be effective? At 4mm, cutlery and plates would be barely proud of the tablecloth surface.

It certainly does look like his work. A similar vehicle in later BR livery featured in BRM April 1998. For its time he has made a sterling effort at the roof plumbing.

I seem to recall Steve cuts thin strips of kitchen foil. Consider it a challenge
