Train Registers

Post by vic south »

I wonder if anyone can point me in the direction of an example of an LNER Train Register. I'm after a decent quality picture showing the page layout if possible.

Does anyone know if there were different versions for the different sections?

They do come up occasionally on Ebay with photographs of the inside pages. You may want to keep an eye out for that.

There was a blank one on there recently, but unfortunately bidding has now ended and I cant remember the item number.

If you do an "advanced search" on the ebay you can ask it to bring up completed listings so that may show up any pictures for you.
don't forget about the Great Eastern Railway

I have a Train Register book for the North Eastern Railway covering the period 11/1916 to 3/1917. I suspect that the format would be very similar. I will be away until the end of the month but I would be happy to try and photograph a page. Please contact me direct through the moderator.
