Gloster Meteor prone pilot experiment.

I'll go for the R.S.4 Bobsleigh then - cockpit does not match but fuselage looks right shape.

Yes a very obscure prototype 3 seater trainer by that was rebuilt post war.

Yep, it's the Bobsleigh! The factory site (now caterpillar) could be seen from my home for my first 21 years

And to think i put quite a few hours on the Desford site for Morris Cranes, still think it looks Milesish but an interesting subject on its own.

Lockheed Electra BB, they were around when Pontious was a pilot. Seriously i can just remember them and Airspeed Ambassadors at Newcastle airport. I suppose thats like remembering NER Atlantics
