Gloster Meteor prone pilot experiment.
Hi interested in the area served by 52D. also researching colliery wagonways from same area.

52D is nail bitingly close though. And the correct facts of the past 2 posts together and you have it....

I'll go for the R.S.4 Bobsleigh then - cockpit does not match but fuselage looks right shape.

Yes a very obscure prototype 3 seater trainer by that was rebuilt post war.

Yep, it's the Bobsleigh! The factory site (now caterpillar) could be seen from my home for my first 21 years

And to think i put quite a few hours on the Desford site for Morris Cranes, still think it looks Milesish but an interesting subject on its own.

Lockheed Electra BB, they were around when Pontious was a pilot. Seriously i can just remember them and Airspeed Ambassadors at Newcastle airport. I suppose thats like remembering NER Atlantics :D
