Thank you Sawdust. I have been trawling for this video clip, on the NRM site, my favorites, Google etc. over the last few weeks without success.

Yes ive seen that .Not realy a good shot to get a good impression of the coaches.

The overwhelming impression of the coaches, from all the shots I have seen, is the skirting!

Most shots have been ground level, and that may be the cause. When Hornby did a model of the Silver Jubilee train some time ago, they repainted Mk 1 coaches, and did not bother to replicate the skirts. It did not even LOOK like the SJ.

Here is a photo of a sample of silver Rexine used on the window side of the compartment blinds, so I would imagine that this would be the same as applied to the bodies originally.

When were the coaches taken out of the jubilee service and what happend to them after.

September 1939 is the date when the 'high speed' services ceased.
That included SJ, Coronation and others.
I think I read somwhere, that the coaches were put into storage.

If not broken up .Ive never sean them on other train after that service stoped.The only other was the west riding set .Was that later?if so maybe they used the SJ set and repainted them?

The special sets were stored on the outbreak of WW2 and reinstated in the late 40s on a number of express services. Harris gives some detail as to eventual destiny together with photographs but some lasted until the late 50's.
