70000 Britannia
70000 Britannia on a low loader on the slip road from M6 to M56 at about 6.45 this evening. Any ideas where it was going?

I understood NYMR had a mainline connection, so why by road? Cheaper?

Detail of the Gala from the NYMR website.
http://www.nymr.co.uk/2012/05/best-of-b ... team-gala/
Brittania tender and support coach already on the NYMR loco should be offloaded either by now or will be in the morning. Due away by rail on the 15th May for Crewe
Sir Nigel Gresley has had another setback with the boiler work and is unlikely to appear in steam at least for the first half of the week.
Q6 no detail known as yet.
