LNER BY120 Pigeon van

Post by Robpulham »

Today I finished another of the 4mm part built projects that have been lying around for far too long (November 2009 according to my thread on RMWeb).

This is now for sale on the devils playground

They do! This is the second one that I have built, I did a bit more in the modification front on this one but they look pretty good if you just shake the box.

Don't forget the solebars should be the same colour as the wheel centres, not black!

I think the solebars are teak, its just the thickness of the plastic step moulding that gives the impression of them being black...

Yes, I've had the same discussion before. As Steve says, the thickness opf the stepboard moulding hides the teak paint on the solebar. Looking hard I think it's there.

They are most definitely teak but even with it in your had they are not very visible.

I learned from the last one I did and painted the step boards and sole bars before I assembled them this time. Last time I had to do them all teak and then carefully cut in the step boards in black.
