70000's first trip over the S&C - 3rd March 2012

Saturday the 3rd March 2012 and BR 7MT No.70000 'Britannia' is seen hauling 'The Cumbrian Mountain Express' over the Settle and Carlisle Railway seen at Gargrave Viaduct and Horton In Ribblesdale.

Micky, 70000 hauled the royal train last month, so it has the (dare I say very nice) white cab roof from that. The roof is to be painted black this month, unfortunately.

Ay up!

Apparently "Driver Wales" may have been active on the run. He was certainly on the footplate for part of it....
