Looking at this lot i think i'd stick to the lass's an stay clear of "fagots"
Callard and Bowsers, Macgowans Highland ?? Don't tell me they have stopped making Farrahs Original Harrogate Toffee then? When I lived in Leeds I was quiet partial to Harrogate toffee. The empty tins were useful as I used to keep my baccy and Rizzlas in a Farrahs tin (when I was rolling my own). That takes me back.

Our client retreats quietly for a few days to immerse herself in a little Kafka* and returns to discover that she is the subject of a heinous libel involving her alleged voracious appetite, Pukka Pies, Harrogate Toffees and an allegation that she may be from Yorkshire.
Our instructions are clear. Sirs, you have been warned.

Well I have to say I am disappointed, nay, deflated to read the sad news that Mrs BB does not want to have any association with Pukka pies.
Whatever next?
Please dont tell me she turns her nose up at mushy peas as well?
I really dont think that I can take much more of this depressing news. I can see now why the wallet channels its frustration into anger, and why it was felled by a single Lincolnshire sausage - there was no onion gravy with it.
No wonder this country has gone to the dogs with displays of such culinary discrimination. I Google for the ultimate pie and mushy peas photo and what do I find? The retail emporium is in Australia!!!!
I can only assume it is the subversive work of Lancastrians, no true Yorkshireman would ever sully the great traditions of pork pies and mushy peas by mixing them together like that in a hotpot style. Unless it's a southerner, doing it purely for effect and cheap advertising?
