in the recent copy of Teessides Evening Gazzette monthly Remember When (£1) there a couple page spread on train crash Billingham and another on Pickfords moving a 0-4-0 to Lingdale mine and not forgetting Listers model shop ... all with picky's

When sausage and chips was a pound, oh hang on that was at lunchtime today just up the road from Oakham Station. I'm impressed.

Yeah i remember when a PINT of John Smith's Yorkshire bitter was only 14p in the Kings Cross BRSA club back in 1974. :wink:

once made a Airfix model of the box at Oakham, then on a visit discovered Airfix had put the steps on the wrong end ,I've a 35mm slide somewhere.

Ay up!

For me I preferred a scallop (that's a slice of potato, fried in batter for you foreigners!) and bits after spotting all day.

Horses for courses.

Oh, and a bottle of Vimto. At least you can get that here!

forgot to mention the train crash in the afore mentioned newspaper (Remember When) was a V2 smack up the rear of a willy D, good photo's.
