Berwick area colliery tramways

Post by 52D »

Can anyone help, the Unthank and the Scremerston colliery Tramways both reached the suburbs of Berwick upon Tweed.
The Unthank Tramway can be traced as far as a tunnel under the ECML behind Berwick Rangers football club and the Scremerston system can be traced as far as the cliff tops at Spital where the stone for Berwick pier was quarried.
Can anyone tell me where these two tramways terminated.
We presume the Unthank tramway reached the river and it is in print that the Scremerston system reached a jetty at Spital(possibly Carr Rock jetty).
Hi interested in the area served by 52D. also researching colliery wagonways from same area.
