Wow that is some fast work. I can't say I favour the green much on a Duchess, but at least they are responding to the opinions of the railfan market.

Nice photos Trev, well up to standard!!
I cannot, and never have been able, decide whether I like them in green. Whenever I think of Duchess' I always think of City of Carlisle, parked at Upperby as 'thunderbird'

blackout, That is exactly what I think too.
Nice to hear from you Ian, my favourite colour for a Duchess is green, that is how I remember this particular one, as I think it spent most of its life in in that colour.

Hi Trev
As far as I recall, Sutherland was never in BR Maroon. She also missed the Wartime black, being the only Duchess to retain Maroon during the war. Both 'facts' I have read somewhere!!

Nice photos. The non streamlined Duchesses look quite nice in BR green.

Excellent photographs. I do have to say the Duchess's look much better in green and no smoke deflectors.

For once BB you and I are in total agreement. In photos it appeared to be brilliant. Regret she got nowhere near here so I didn't see it in the flesh
