I agree totally. I think we have all seen the last of Green Arrow in steam for a good many years

At least we're gonna see 6229 in steam in the next five or six years though

Hi Again,
It just needs some suitable motivation. Perhaps if Green Arrow was at risk of being purchased by an overseas organisation with the cash to restore it! 
One should never say “never” and to concede a decade without it should not be an acceptable perception.
The A1 would never have got off the ground if such an attitude took hold. Rather than two P2’s how about a P2 and V2 in steam? Now that would make a great double header!

I recall thinking about 1995 that I'd never see a streamlined Duchess after another plan went belly up for that one or an A1.

I must point out that the P2s are being made by individual groups who, as is their right, have the choice to go ahead with their respective dreams, prospects and plans and at no point should it be up for discussion by anyone outside of said groups whether they should go ahead or not.
The way I see it is: everyone has their interests, and will give to causes they believe in. If you don't want to give to a particular cause: that's not wrong in any way, it is your money and your interests will lie elsewhere.
If you can find enough people to support your cause, then you will succeed. That is why we have a new build Peppercorn A1 and many fledgling new build projects which are starting to come good.
I don't believe in telling anyone "don't donate to this, that, and t'other" because frankly it's not my business who anyone else gives to, all that matters is that you believe in what you are doing, is right for you.
