To put it simply, I made one more little mistake with a post, which I duly corrected..... and I still recieved a snotty half arsed reply about it (you know who you are).

I thank members on the forums like Blink Bonny and Atlantic 3279 for the many good things they have done and continue to do, but I have finally had enough of people not being able to accept that mistakes happen and that people have different views. If someone has a different view about something to you or gets something slightly wrong in a post, don't go crying to the moderators about it, you are grown men for god's sake! All you have to do is merely point it out if the member hasn't already noticed his or herself and offer to provide the right information, but not in a snotty 'you are stupid, ignorant and completely wrong' attitude.

EDIT: maybe not 'goodbye' quite yet.

I think, for future reference "reading" whole threads before posting, or at the very least, observing current posts, may help you on future forums.

Otherwise you will find patience runs out with the vast majority who do help, and do so kindly.

I see your point, but unfortunately with quick scans of a thread, you can sometimes miss an important piece of relevant data, which I seem to have a knack of doing quite often

Personally I see no problem with folks reminding us of what the discussion is actually about! Its amazing how they drift, though not as badly as on Rootschat when a discussion about a church in Donny became a discourse on A4s.
