The most whimsical thing I've seen on a layout and, thinking about it, it's quite probably prototypical too, was a bloke taking a leak up the out-of-general-view side of a parcels shed. Comical in its way. :)

That is stunning - thanks for posting. Here was I wondering about combining a WW2 airfield with an LNER layout - if they can do that, I'm sure I can manage a grass airstrip with a few parked Spitfires!

My better half always likes the idea of European city breaks. I suppose I could suggest Hamburg, win mega brownie points, and get to the exhibition - job done!

Ay up!

There used to be on (I think) Copenhagen Fields the Ladykillers house with a chap wheeling someone else down towards the railway, under the watchful gaze of a camera.

It was removed, so I understand, because the owner was sick of people saying "'Ere, yer know that the Ladykillers house couldn't have existed? Front and back doors two miles apart and facing each other?"

Some people need to get a life. Lighten up.

Anyone modelled the Titfield Thunderbolt?
If I ain't here, I'm in Bilston, scoffing decent chips at last!!!!

Now that'd be interesting - especially the autotank v. Steamroller fight - or, on an urban GWR layout, an autotank driving up a residential street
