Is the Duke in trouble does anyone know?
It was due in York late Friday/Early saturday to pick up the train from Kings cross, and take it on to Carlisle then across to Newcastle and back down, but has pulled out, and engine is TBA

(or any other LNER visitors to York, Leeds, etc)

Although I'll be "in and out" quite a bit, I'll be visiting God's Own Country (Yorkshire) during that time period.

Glad you said County Richard, as his Country is Wales, although I like Cumbria meself!

Anyway, if you hit a bit earlier, Bittern is due through to Scarborough on 777!

This weeks replacement is 46021 Princess Elizabeth

on the 30th we have 34067 Tangmere doing York to Newcastle to Kings Cross. Last time it didn't make Norwich to Scarborough, as it didn't have enough coal to get back from Scarborough.
