Well here are the goodies from the Hornby stand. For simplicity I'm going to put them all in the same thread. I may move them around later if I feel inclined and have time. Lighting in the main hall was terrible, so you will have to put up with the best my camera could do on Saturday evening.

You decide about the beading.
I thought the beading on the BR one looked different, which did not compute...looking at the photo I think the lining is fooling the eye about the position of the beading.
These are lovely.
I wanted to ask Simon Kohler about their research for the hopper colour, but I never managed to pass the stand at a time he was there/free and I didn't like to disturb his breakfast on Sunday. I'm still in the 'blue' camp, nice as the finish is.

Waiting, waiting for the B17. Suburbans and D49. All coming close to each other by the looks. Probably break the budget these coming months. The Full brake was announced just as I was about to finish my Kirk kit so not on my list, but looks good too.
I've only just found tis thread (were've I been!). The Hornby Gresley full brake looks fine to me. Tumblehome and centre horizontal beading lower and in correct position. It would come out after I built one from wafer-thin etchings but the Hornby is on my shop list.
Carmine was their livery 1949-56.

Should the battery box be on one side only? Looks like two in the photo.
Hand held high for mistake....A quick glance at two photos shows there should only be one, so i'll remove 'tother on the ducket side in the morning. The guards step in the wrong place? Its none existent.

What dia is the full brake, does it have a ducket.
The pics don't seem to show a vac pipe, I thought it was on the non ducket side.

Is your brake a dia 113, if it is many pics show the vac pipe with a downward kink and return --__/---, around the centre line with angle truss underframe. Question was this a BR mod and was it so on the turnbuckle underframe.
