Well, if Bittern's not going to be there and Sir Nigel is still out of action, I won't bother going

Re: A4 4492, NYMR Autumn Steam Gala
It's not a case of a deliberate "boycott" as far as I am concerned. I have limited finances, like most, and these have to cover many needs and wants. It is perfectly simple: If the kind of thing that interests me isn't on offer, then other priorities win the funding.60044 wrote: Boycott this one because you don't like the line up and you may well be giving ammunition to those at the railwaywho maintain that such events are more trouble than they are worth, and killing off any hope of a future LNER gala.

What's the latest news on Dom. of NZ?
Any substance at all to earlier speculation about a possible re-scheduled appearance at the NYMR Dad's Army weekend?

Foxcote has just had its stay extended to the end of the main season.

They would at least be representative overall of a complete 'LNER' train. Just like the BR Mk.II's in blood & custard behind BR green Tornado.Mk1's in imitation teak... no, just doesn't sit right with me.
BR blue & grey should be banned from preservation! It was always a boil on a carabunkle livery.

Hi interested in the area served by 52D. also researching colliery wagonways from same area.

Have to disagree with you there about the Blue and Grey.
Time moves on and Blue / Grey is now a historical livery period and does have a place in the preservation scene.
Will we ever see West Yorkshire White DMUs again? Now that is one that I can do without (to contradict myself).

Ay up!
The white DMUs looked good when freshly painted. But after a couple of months.
Hmmm.
Better leave sleeping dogs lie!
