Far to deep for my likes, let's head in the opposite direction: High Barnet

Re: Subterranean Subterfuge - Round the 2nd
My questioning of Hackney Wick had very little to do with its elevation above or below sea level, but was more inclined to be a reference to whether the NLL actually formed part of the Tube network?

Ahaaaa . . . that's local knowledge for you. Looking at a tube map (that's as close as I can get these days) I was wrongly assuming that the NLL was an overground underground, if you get my drift.
So now, with Mr. Berrie's apparent fear of depths (there must be one of those 'phobia' suffixes for that), and the recent rash of above-ground locations popping up on here, I must refer to one of the old haunts of Spike Milligna, the well-known typing error, and plump for EAST FINCHLEY.

Well, Hackney Wick might not be in Tube, but it certainly is only served by the Overground of the UndergrounD these days ; which also forms half of HIGHBURY & ISLINGTON.giner wrote: "Ahaaaa . . . that's local knowledge for you. Hmmm . . . more local knowledge. Thanks, Steve. Without my banging on about my team in red and white in that neck 'o the woods, I'll just drop in a bit of subtlety with GUNNERSBURY.

Saw that coming a mile off... what next, tennis, more football or a trip to the dogs? No I think I'll have a quick pint: Elephant & Castle

Oh dear...., I can only think back to that Cup Final of 1971 and my depression over the battering that we got, plus the devastation following Charlie George's winner.giner wrote:Hmmm . . . more local knowledge. So, in memory of those gallant losers I must respond with
Liverpool Street

It is now, Giner, they call the passenger services LOROL and it's part of Transport for London. Nothing to do with RTs in Stevenage, you understand, that was London Transport.giner wrote:Ahaaaa . . . that's local knowledge for you. .
The latest, super duper, version of their map might help:

Woah! That's a bit of an eye-opener after the 'old' map we've all known and loved for all these years. Cheers, hq!
So as not to go off on one of my tangents, I'd better stay on track with the game. So, off the top of my head, so to speak, TOWER HILL.

Re: Subterranean Subterfuge - Round the 2nd
I may have dated a Sloane once, but was very very drunk. I'm not even sure she was a woman - given the sight facing me in the morning. If that is not too much information I can only reply
Shepherds Bush

Even if Ken can't, Boris Johnson is supposed to have a more 'can-do' attitude. And that's a very irreverent way to refer to him...
Strang Steel's fears are justified. I'm afraid the last couple of plays have sent me running to White City...
