Your tea, madam

Fine advert for Rington's Tea, with which you Geordie boys will be familiar. Can't say I've ever seen it on sale down here

Ringtons tea is one of the odd products that is not on general sale but the rep comes round every week selling it from a van.
Hi interested in the area served by 52D. also researching colliery wagonways from same area.

I used to get it round here, their choc covered cookies are to die for, but they were so unreliable that I gave up. Also they refused to go to my Dads house which is less than 2 miles away. Not a very good way to run a business to be honest.
Its good to know where you stand. Saves making a fool of yourself later......

More reason to shop at Morrisons I suppose. In my time it was only vended from a van and before that horse and cart. The also made fancy china plates (collectables on fleabay).

Me, too! Mind you it runs a bit expensive here. $7.50 (4.65p) for a box of 80. Worth it, though, for a decent cuppa.

I was once told that it was a different blend in different areas, something which I always scoffed at.

However, taking a box from here (in the midlands and a hard water area) to North Wales (a soft water area) produced results that were, frankly awful.

Still, a box of Panad Gymreig (Welsh Brew to us non-believers) soon sorted that!
