Sorry don't know dates but I would guess 1965?

I remember the old Euston Collectors Corner had a BR(NE) orange enamel sign in about 1980 "EXCURSION STATION---->" which they said was from Saltburn.

found another postcard for Middlesbrough
middlesbrough station (2).jpg
taken from, looking across to the Albert Road entrance, behind the gas lamp on the right is the low Albert Road bridge thats claimed a few high toped vehicles!, during the 1950's the Corporation Transpot drafted in new Dennis lowliners to cope with the service from Levick to the Transporter Bridge (listed daily working ).

I think the photo of K1 2005 on the Saltburn Express was taken on Sunday 17th August 1986 on the last day of the town's (first?) Victorian week.

Any way here's how it got there on another occasion , at the same time the pair of class 20's got named in the usual grand ceremonial victoirian style , "Saltburn-by-the-sea" and "Henry Pease" , on this visit the K1 remained static but in steam. The photo allthough not the best (wrong len's on the Zenith) shows both 20118 and K1 , near Church Lane crossing Redcar en route to Saltburn.

Mr B, you have some very interesting self-taken photos on this site. If you are willing to sell prints from them, I'd be interested in speaking to you about it? RedKLad

These pictures of Marske 1970 ish were passed onto me by a resident who I think took them . Anyone know what the bell on the pole is for next to the coal office in first pic? . Surprisingly in pic 3 the station clock is still there under the canopy ,how long would it last today .
The goods shed survives today largely unaltered as a house.
