Post by richard »

At Warley, MSL Hobbies Ltd announed nickel silver etched kits for the EM1 (Class 76) and EM2 (Class 77) locomotives. The EM1 requires a Kato chassis, and the EM2 requires a Farish Class 31.

Flyer attached.

Further details of the 2mm/N version will be added to the website at
http://www.msl-hobbies.com soon.

I have the 7mm version of the EM1 and in general its a good kit

Its rather complicated and the instructions are dire Im still confused as to what some of the parts are and I handled a finnished model at Warley! Apart from that its gone together quiete well other than some ill fitting windscreens.

Reccomended if you dont mind doing a bit of extra work and are fairly experienced.

I imagine the 2mm version will be rather simpler. Does it use ready to run pantographs I am having nightmares about fabricating them in 7mm let alone 2!

Just thought: I added the 2mm kits to the EM1 & EM2 pages, but forgot to add the existing 4mm and 7mm ones! D'oh!
