Tricky. I haven't seen Foster's Corkscrew for a while. Balham eh? I'm glad it's not my turn.

I suppose you could get off the Northern at the Elephant.............?

Is that allowed? I thought it was closed for refurbishment. See report of replay for Greenland v North Korea, Northern Hemisphere qualifying round 2003. The plucky Innuits brought on a late substitute whose decisive strike on Elephant totally confounded the much-fancied men from Pyonyang who claimed that the station was only open on Sunday rush hours during the winter months in leap years.

I fear we must disallow Mr B's attempt at a Budgerigar Ballero, as it is tainted by the association of dishonesty after the mention of 'North Korea'... Connoisseurs of the game will undoubtedly remember the extremely distasteful incident when that team attempted to play "Swiss Cottage" - never mix politics and Mornington Crescent....

Moving us unhesitatingly out of Nip, and invoking the spirit of Hannoverian duplicity and foolishness as revealed by another Mr. B, I play 'Putney Bridge'.

I do hope [our] Mr B is in a circular room, as suggested by Barry Cryer in the epic 1973 semi-finals, held on the Eddystone. However, I'm afraid that the co-axial principle of invisibility in not naming a station in black (or at least not white) font was specifically excluded after the 2003 'unpleasantness' which led to the 'Korean Ruling'. Personally, my point of view is that White City is the right reply.

It was a surprise to me that an earlier participant's Mill Hill Park went unchallenged. This was clearly a case of home bias on the part of the referee and, although it was flagged by the touch judge and adjudicated upon by the TV umpire, went unpunished.

I consider Goldhawk Road to be the best option still open.

Hammersmith & City eh?

That opens up the game more than a little. I think Stepney Green should liven things up a bit!

as I sulk in the rounded corner of my circular room, gets me back to Chaz's comment about Hammersmith, was'nt the Pally(Odeon) used as the Grand in the film "The Smallest Show on Earth" ?
