Just for Kenny.....

Jubilee No 45594 Bhopal at Saltburn whit monday 1961, well Kenny its a shame that some others did'nt take photos at the time, most of my mates at the time would rather spend their pocket money on 'fags' they all thought I was daft for spending pocket money on a roll of film !

Also as a lad regular trips would be made to the local model shop in the Boro, the only local one to stock Trix Twin. It was sad when they closed long before the new A 66 road re-development.

Thanks once again for posting the photo of Bhopal at Saltburn on Whit Monday 1961. That day (22/5/61) the following locos worked excursions to Redcar and/or Saltburn:

V2s 60857/885/886/925/932
Jubilees 45569 Tasmania & 45594 Bhopal
Stanier 2-6-0 42977

Someone informed me that they were all turned on the turntable at Carlin How. I've seen a colour photo of 42977 passing Thornaby station (eastbound) that day hauling ex LMS stock but unfortunately I don't have a copy.

Same location ... Redcar Central Special platform with race day special's, the collage is been built in the feild behind the tank loco.
Redcar Central with K1 on charter, the technical collage, built late 1950's, behind the loco has been demolished and a new one built only opened earlier this year (2010).

photos could be rare to non-existent. type 'named trains' in the search box for some useful info about it.

I've only ever seen two photos of the Tees-Thames north of York. One was a V2 crossing Yarm viaduct and the other an EE type 4 (class 40) No D251 at Redcar East, probably taken on or around 20th April 1960. I have seen several photos of this train south of York however, including one taken at Peterborough hauled by 60103 Flying Scotsman.
