If you are after anything in particular its always worth giving him a ring.
I will be making a beeline for the shop in July when Kestrel bring out the Hush Hush book.
Hi 52D, does this "Bill Bedford (Not our Bill Bedford) at Matlock station" work for Bill Hudson of Bill Hudson Transport Books at Matlock Station, by any chance? Wow, strange coincidence! I must admit, when I'm after anything in particular (at least in the books line), I always find it's worth giving him a ring too... Anyway, both classic names in the model railway hobby.

Just wonderin', like.

... And all these years I'd thought it was some blue tank engine called Thomas, that 'fell down a mine'.

I don't remember Ivor falling down a mine. Welsh engines have more sense that to try to sidle past signs saying "Engines must not pass this board", unlike a certain blue tank engine....

I like the Ivatt 4F (2-6-0) and without it we wouldn't be able to respond to those wags who sometimes say "and Pigs might fly"

Looking forward to seeing completion of the 'unrebuilt' patriot.

How about a naming competition?

There was something about Fowler locos, which is lost in restoration. I refer to the smokebox door and surround. In BR days the door carried layers of peeling paint under the last coat. A little thing I know but such was the stuff of character in steam days.

Ordinarily, I wouldn't chance this query on this forum, but for the fact that the 'Ell of a Mess is under discussion, but is there a website or summat about this new unrebuilt Patriot? From a certain angle, they look the business.
