Does anyone have a clear photo showing the wording detail of these two oval plates which is positioned either side of the smoke box?
Think they say something like 'London North Eastern, Doncaster 1923' do they also have 4472?
Weren't the originals lost or something?

Thanks for that, though I've just scoured the Doncaster Works info which notes the frame number of 4472 being 'Don 1564/23' and I've just found a photo of the plate which shows 1564, have a look 3/4 down this link where the oval plate can be seen

How did you come by No.1539, is the guys photo in the link incorrect for being that of 4472's works plate?
