Off the Rails
Enclosed is a picture of a B1 4-6-0 61116 (A lovely symetrical number) formerly of Neasden, When in this picture it was at Duns on the Reston St Boswells line, It was supposed to be shedded at Eastfield. Can anyone say if between Neasden and Eastfield it was loaned to Tweedmouth and can anyone give details of the mishap which supposedly happened in 1963. Is the crane the Tweedmouth breakdown crane?.

Re: Off the Rails
The crane is a Cowans Sheldon and appears to have relieving bogies and a single-lattice jib of some 40 ft length. This would fit with the 1936-built 36-ton CME 5 / DE331158 which was based at Tynemouth at the date of the incident, so a fair chance that's what it is.
