Brakenhill Light Railway (Ackworth West Yorks) 1914 to 1961
Hi I'm looking for Photos or any imformation on the Brakenhill Light Railway. Which ran through Ackworth to Hemsworth Colliery. Can anyone help me out? Thanks.

Hi interested in the area served by 52D. also researching colliery wagonways from same area.

Hi the Brakenhill Light Railway ran from the Junction on the Swinton & Knottingley Line through Ackworth to Hemsworth Colliery. Only a small part of it remains as a cycle track walk called the tom dando way. I was hopping other members on here could help and may have pictures of when the line was in operation.

The junction with the S+K was at 10m 8.13ch and is a North facing double track connection
