Thompson and Bullied

Post by manna »

G'Day Gents
I was thinking the other day (no groans please) What the outcome would have been if Thompson had gone to the Southern, and Bullied had become No2 on the LNER, would 'Great Northern' now be in the NRM??? can I have your thoughts on this and any other matter :o
Thanks
manna

Perhaps the spam cans would have had round-topped boilers?

There'd have been lots of cool locos in Barry scrapyard just waiting to be saved.

G'Day Gents

I was kinda thinking along the lines (excuse pun) of, the LNER needed 4-6-0's would Bullied have been allowed to build air smoothed 4-6-0's, or , seeing that there would be no A1's or A2's would there be a Bullied Pacifics to take there place?? but without the bicycle chains
And on the Southern would Thompson have rebuilt all the Lord Nelsons into Pacifics??
