With a lovely covering of snow, LNER A4 No.60007 'Sir Nigel Gresley' heads north with 'The Christmas Tynesider' from London Kings Cross to Newcastle, after some delays at Doncaster she passes Colton Junction...

Just got back from the tour..... what an excellent day out..... No. 7 performed faultlessly......

Upon arrival back at KX tonight I learned that Bittern had been dealyed in her return from Cambridge so I had the bonus of seeing her arrive back into platform 1 (albeit 110 minutes late!)

A question:- When was the last time that two A4's departed Kings Cross on the same day?
