Probably Google Maps aerial view is your best bet for a quick gander. Pity there's no 'street view' of the area.

StevieG: Thanks for the info on the gantry, etc. There's always some 'artistic licence' in movies, I guess.

Someone capable of doing it would be one thing [lost vantage points, and new 'obstructions' (constructions) permitting], getting legal 'safe' access to those filming spots that are 'railway land' could probably be quite another these days.

the only street views in the area are york way, goods way, st pancras road and camley street.if you go up camely street to the overbridge by the st pancras cruising club gates there a nice veiw of a water tower but little if anything survives south of the canel . was working in the undercroft of st pancras at the time.

Talk about timely, this is a link to a website just sent by a friend about this very subject of The Ladykillers and its locations then and now. I haven't even delved into it myself yet, but I'm sure there's plenty of good stuff in there. Enjoy at your leisure.

G'Day Gents
Wonderful site, But I do'n't remember the the atom bomb going off in the area, I'm sure it would have been on the news, God what a mess??
If they remade the movie I wonder where they would make it, surely not around there

Yes; on part of what was 'Passenger Loco' and at about 5 storeys, can't miss noticing it if passing by.
It's one of three or four sets of 'temporary' offices in various spots along the west side of the station and 'throat' area, no doubt associated with the main line station enhancement/rebuilding works, the Underground's new 'Northern Ticketing Hall' to be under the new main station concourse area, and probably the finishing of the partially complete underground pedestrian connections with St.Pancras.

Seems quite likely that the bore of the old 'Down Met.Line' Hotel Curve tunnel will be breached by some part(s) of these works.
