Robin Hood's Bay
Just finished my model of Robin Hood's Bay station (the apostrophe allows me some artistic licence) and wondered how I might share some photos with you guys...bear in mind that it was born in New Zealand 13,000 miles from the real thing!!!! Can anyone guide me through the process to upload my photos please?

Looking good, thought model railways were never finished, think you mean it's now in a acceptable state. But it looks A1, whats next?? LOL

What's next....well in about 3 months it will be demolished as I am hoping to get a dedicated train shed. RHB is not designed to be transportable...so it will be the start of a new project. As the shed will be 6.6m x 3.0m it will probably be based on a double track secondary line (still in North Yorkshire) with a junction and possibly a terminus. I suspect that whilst RHB was based loosely on the prototype I'm not sure that there is a similar prototype that meets my proposed criteria...but maybe some members may have other thoughts

Hi there Whitby50G.
How about the Leeds Northern Line from Harrogate to Ripon and then to the ECML. That would give you the mainline, with the junction at Ripley for the branch to Pateley Bridge (you could re-use some of the buildings from RHB) of the junction at Melmerby? for the shorter branch to Masham.
Just some food for thought?

Re: Robin Hood's Bay
I have often thought Gilling East would make an interesting subject.
Pilmoor - Malton and Gilling to Pickering.

Thanks Andy and Bryan.
At the moment, following the publication of closure notices, there have been a number of objections to the 'closure' of RHB. So there is to be a public enquiry...and as a result the demolition gang has been stood down.
Given that much of my stock is based on that allocated to the North Yorks Moors area, if there is to be a replacement I suspect the location may be more ficticious...although a modified Grosmont might be on the cards

My original suggestion will still fit as Gilling is only about 15 mile west of Pickering to the South side of the Moors.Given that much of my stock is based on that allocated to the North Yorks Moors area, if there is to be a replacement I suspect the location may be more ficticious...although a modified Grosmont might be on the cards
