S R Queen Mary on LNER

Post by chainsaw18648 »

I am at present modelling a military train for my bachman austerity using the genesis kits for the warflats and warwells (highly recommended and at a reasonable price) but have come across a photograph of a train in our local library of three warwells and six warflats with various sherman tanks and greyhound scout cars en route to embarkation point sometime early 1945 but with a southern queen mary brake with NE WD markings on its side is this unusual any idea's mick

Can't answer your question, but one of the railway modelling magazines this month was devoted to wartime railways - any help?
