Hi,
Spotted at Cambridgeshire Archives several rolls of BR 1950's scaled drawings of the following buildings (usually describing 1950's modifications, but show original details of buildings;
March, Cambs GER goods shed
March GER Station House
March GER Weighbridge hut, and other buildings (all elevations + plans)
March GER canopy supports, cast iron. Canopy fittings, wooden parts etc etc
Passenger footbridge, GER type
Chatteris, Cambs, Station buildings. Elevations (trackside/ concourse + plan)
Chatteris
All mainly 1/4'' scale- some larger.
None of these will appear in any catalogues of railway plans that are available for the public to view there, so I thought I'd drop a line on here in case anyone has just finished their scale model of March goods shed and wants to see if they got it right.....
Will
Found some GER building drawings- if anyone is interested!

I'm very interested.. I'll have to try and have a look.

That's great! I've had it in mind to recreate, in simulator form, the local lines around my home town, Ramsey, and Chatteris is only up the road. Looks like I'll be taking a trip to the Archives to check them out.
Thanks for the heads-up!

Do you mind if I copy your post to the Great Eastern Railway e-group?

Not at all!
I don't think they'd be particularly wonderful drawings as 1950's BR were only concerned with GER features that it appears they were planning on removing or slapping aluminium framed windows in!! The NRM or TNA (National Archives) may indeed hold the original architects plans somewhere. GER ain't my railway so I couldn't say! Still, maybe of some use to someone.
I really must stress that these were amongst un-catalogued records that will not appear in any public lists. If anyone wants to consult them, one may find it takes a while for the public-service staff to identify them for you!
