Passing the Time
Trip on Thursday.....and nothing else to do.......prompted me to go back to the thing I do best.........................drawing and painting.
Sorry it's a LBSCR scene everyone, but it lent itself to pencil work and, after all, steam is steam and history is cool.

Re: Passing the Time
Nothing wrong with the Three and a van railway, Malcolm. You have a rare gift and have definitely captured the LBSCR, it reminds me of how The Bluebell would love to be some of the time.
A topper is proper if the train's a non-stopper!

Re: Passing the Time
Looks fine to me too. Definitely has atmosphere.
Re: Passing the Time
Thanks guys.
I have always prefered painting and drawing for atmosphere rather than detail..

Re: Passing the Time
It's amazing what you can learn on here! Nice picture (again) Malcolm. Perhaps you should offer the odd picture or two in the classified section. I know you couldn't do this as a business, it'd be against forum rules, but your pictures do look nice. Pateley Bridge was one of the stations the autocar worked to when it was rostered at Starbeck Shed in 1923.

Working on a picture of Waterloo in pre-grouping days right now. Next one will be a picture of Elswick Station in 1905.
