LNER Posters
I have been collecting samples of LNER posters and printed off 25 as a contact sheet as they stand the scale size at OO gauge is 6 foot x 3 foot 9 inch & 7 foot 6 inch x 6 foot 3 inch. Can anyone say what size LNER poster boards were.
The resolution is very good at that size and would make a good addition to LNER themed layouts The Coronation poster is the larger of the two if any one wants the others send me a pm

Dont know actual sizes , but Tiny Signs ,Smiths and there are some on E Bay who also make them.

Posters for model railways is something I've been playing with too. I've picked up a few from the NRM web-site, some from the Yorkshire Post papers and some from old postcards of posters. I've also had a go at making my own, using either my own or other photos and pictures and a selection of 'suitable' 
captions/slogans. Very few have a LNER connection I'm afraid, my modelling interests lie elsewhere, but the principle is the same. I use M/S Publisher to compile a poster, then print out and scan it into a new document (picture). A bit of a circuitous means of compiling a 'master' sheet of posters, but it's one way of reducing the required memory and getting an A4 poster for the wall at the same time... 
Here's one with a NE connection, the picture is 'Morayshire' with four of Stephen Middleton's vintage coaches at the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway's 2008 Steam Gala.
As Mick's just said, Tiny Signs/Gaugemaster do a series of signs, including a pack of (asstd) pre-grouping posters and one of LNER posters.
Don't know about the size of posters though, I printed mine to fit my Wills boards, don't know which company's boards they are modelled on.

Interesting thing at the bottom of the Flying Scotsman Poster "With apolgies to the Southern Railway", any body know what that's all about?
I'd imagine the LNER would use standard pre war poster sizes, google should provide the answer although I've got a table in the back of a really old Model Railway book if you struggle. Posters were everywhere in pre war days and it's surprising how seldom you see layouts with them, especially now that DIY is a real possibility with colour printers. I'm quite partial to using them to cover up my modelling mishaps!

Although the Southern originated it, I don't think even that is the original, is it?
It was copied a lot - all of the Big Four copied it, and the Southern re-used it as well.

Has anyone got any thoughts on what paper to print these posters onto for model railways? I've tried photopaper and they look fine, but the paper is so thick (even thin photopaper) that in OO it looks like you have a thick board behind the poster. If you have a good brush and a very steady hand, you could paint the edges of the poster a dark brown (or appropriate company colours), but that might pall after the fourth or fifth poster...
I did think about sheets of self-adhesive labels, but wondered if any glue applied to reinforce the self-adhesive might wrinkle the label/poster. I've asked Gaugemaster about material, but they outsource their Tiny Signs work to a local printer and didn't know about the details. Any thoughts anyone?

I have this enormous road advertising poster some 8mts x 6.5mts, the type you see on hoardings of the Flying Scotsman crossing the King Edward bridge ( may be the High Level, cant remember) into Newcastle Central.
This poster was promoting the slogan "The one you have to come home for" McEwans Best Scotch being the product from Scottish & Newcastle breweries.
I believe the poster was a Cuneo painting, I bought it from a bill poster for £3 in the late 70s.
There was an image on Google but cant seem to find it. anyone remember this poster ?
