Has someone nicked the rest of the seating - standing room only?

As the folk behind the temporary reinstatement of the Quad Arts as the 'Potters Barbarian' might have said:
"We don't need no stinking seats where we going".
I have not long past had a quick look at the sole preserved Quad at Sheringham, last seen when I was a slender 'near teen*' circa 1966, and the compartments were way smaller than my recollection!

*In my youth you weren't allowed to be a teen until you actually turned thirteen. Was this a general rule?

Been away for a few days so not much has happened.

Stepboards added and first coat of black to underframe.
Stepboards are 20thou black plastic painted black with 30 x 30 Evergreen strip cut into small
sections and stuck to the top of the board to space the board evenly from the top flange of the solebar.
They were painted teak colour before fixing in place and are invisible at normal viewing, you can make
them out in the photo.

Have those bogies got the right wheelbase, sideframe depth, rivets, axleboxes, swing beams and bolsters?

I doubt that any of mine have, other than by sheer fluke! But there's a handy article in LNER Society Journal No 97 if you need to check...

The Dia 107 has been fully stripped down, repaired and reasembly has started.
You can see where the body cracked, it's quite brittle as its old and never been painted by the original builder.
He/she also put the ducket on with the lookouts top and botton.....poor old guard, the works imps thought
that was priceless.

A start has been made on the Dia 108 comp twin now the 107 is being reassembled.
I'm not taking the body sides off this time having seen how brittle the plastic was on the 107.
So off with the roof and the old Kirk vents removed, and the holes cleaned up, why they were so large for the thin legs of
the old ones I do not know. A quick twist of a broach and they were filled with 2mm Evergreen rod. Who ever built these
did not put them on the centreline. You can see I've marked that and checked it 3 times as well. Thr roof has now got
correctly spaced Mike Trice vents, tank filler grab handles and a new cant rail at one side. I'm making the tank filler now.

More progress on the Dia 107, internal partitions added and now ready for teak finish.

The Dia 97 has had part of the kitchen walls added and the ends test fitted.
