Oxford J27 lovely model, bought for a bargain ebay price.

Dave Bradwell Brass Safety Valve and Chimney added. Incorrect rivets on Smokebox removed the Chimney void was filled and the Chimney added on top of the smokebox not inset, as the Oxford design. Cab interior repainted Red , Coupling Rods painted Red , Etched Worksplates to cab sides.The Cab Fall Plate has been cut back, as much too deep. Crew added.
Etched Fire irons and real Coal to tender. There are other things that could be redone such as new Tender Axle boxes and Springs which are a bit shallow, they were not considered, sadly that would destroy the beautiful lining .


NIU Models 3D Prints of the ex NER Wooden Snowploughs x 2 one finished so far.

Model is 8/10 .
Decals not used as totally wrong in spelling and sizes. I used HMRS Wagon lettering with a lot of cutting to make up the wording. Cab Roof needed grinding work done for it to actually fit the body. Multiple " ridge" lines on the main Roof were easy enough to smooth and fill.
I managed to break the corner off seperate front plough piece supplied as it is very brittle Resin on the finished one. I have replaced the part on the second one now being painted with a Plastikard piece, and Archers Rivets these have been used on both front plough top edges to represent the Nut attachments on the body. Etched detail pieces, brass sprue support straps and Buffer rear backing parts added to the rear of the body. Whitemetal Coupling added to front Bow of the Plough

Lovely work as ever, Mick. I’ve got a couple of the snowploughs on order, but demand is currently outstripping NIU’s supply. Are there really spelling mistakes in the supplied transfers?!

I have also repainted a old Dapol BK Container using Fox transfers , they were also used via lot of cutting on the A type above . The lettering needs some settling down more work in the grooves !!.

Steel ones are from the original 3d print creator that is mentioned above as PDF on his site . I first thought they were printing too large , on rechecking they are correct size for 4mm. Printed fine on my printer.

The Yellow ones are from a PDF by Jonathan Wealleans on here , printed by Precision Labels. My printing attempt was found to be too pale/invisible when printed.

Hi Mick,
I am extremely pleased to see such beautiful makes of my STL-files. Normally I leave PR in the model railroad community to Stephen, but at this point I have to say thanks for sharing these pictures.
Would you be so kind to allow me to use the A-type container images for my presentation at printables/thingiverse/cults3d? The finish and the lettering looks by far better than my own versions. Of course I would give a link to this thread. Please excuse the public request, being new here, I didn't find a way for a personal message.
