100A Boilers

Post by billbedford »

Which classes that had 100A boilers were also right-hand drive? I know about the O4/8s but were there any others?

The question comes from this photo which shows a blanking plate above the brake valve, and I wondered if this was common to all these boilers or just a one-off.

Bill,

A quick check of RCTS 'greenie' Part 1 - Preliminary Survey, lists the following classes as being fitted with the 100A boiler:

B1, B2, B3/3, B17/6, O1 (225lb.) and O2/4 and O4/8 (both 180lb.)

Working your way through those classes may answer your query.
