Leamside Line
I'm currently working on a computer simulation of the Leamside line set in a roughly 1961 period. The lack of photos is a bit depressing but I was just wondering whether anyone here knows of a decent video of the line at any time ? Anything up to closure would be a big help.

There is not a lot of information and photos on the Internet on this subject, but you can still find it. I remember stumbling across articles and photos once in my research days, but it takes time to find something useful!
Re: Leamside Line
The really tough bits are the coal mines and Lambton Cokeworks. With the latter the last 25" OS map is from 1946 but the works was rebuilt in 1951 and I have not found any plan from that date until closure. Photos are few and there are no videos. I'm ashamed to say that although I lived locally I didn't explore the Lambton network while I could have.
Re: Leamside Line
I have some amateur film shot around the Lambton colliery system transferred to dvd featuring NCB 0-6-0 & 0-6-2 tank locos 'in steam' working around the Lambton colliery system between 1966-1969 hauling trains of coal and coke wagons. I forget which dvd this film is featured on but it's published by Transport Video Publishing without going through my dvd collection to try and find the film?. I have seen the film sequence maybe half a dozen times over the last 5-6 years and it's pretty good to watch the Lambton colliery sequence which mite bit tagged onto a dvd of the end of B.R. steam in 1968 with the NCB Lambton colliery retaining 0-6-0 & 0-6-2 tank engines in service until early 1969 before withdrawing them.
