That looks pretty good from here Dave.

You now have me wondering if I could convert one of my Connoisseur fridge van kits into one of these for variety.

Edited to add that having just looked in Tatlow volume two, I reckon that it shouldn't be too difficult and will earmark one of my two kits for future conversion.

Looking forward to seeing that Rob.

I am trying to finish some more shelf orphans.
Here is one that I started way back but not completed it's a NER dia Q1 loco coal wagon but now completed as an LNER High Goods which many ended up as. Which is strange as they kept the top plank which must have hampered unloading. This wagon was not finished due to a fault with the body casting, some of it was missing, this was repaired with some 145deg solder building up the missing segment. Bet you can't see the repair.
Also trying to get completed is a Parkside LNER Van, new door, Vac brakes etc you can see what else has been worked on.

Well it's been a long time, time does fly.
A lot of modelling has taken place since the last update, finished a lot of wagon kits.

Anyway to the point of the post.

Paul Craig (John Coffin) has sent me a couple of LNER injectors, he and Rob Pulham have been working on, they are beautiful.
I'm sure Paul will be along to explain all about them.

Thanks Dave,
I have been working on updating a couple of kits, and found that the available injectors on the market ate really not up
to modern standards, especially the white metal ones. Rob and I have both been learning Fusion 360, and how to measure off
photos with a couple of known details.

Rob kindly drew them, and we get another mate Mike produce the moulds and get them cast.

Frankly, they are exquisite and I think those who get to use them will be happy. Whilst they were initially designed for ex GNR stock,
I am sure they are pretty universal for under footplate, or under saddle tank usage. Mind you you'll need the drawings for the pipework,
we can't do everything for you!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Paul
Think the injectors look terrific. Will they be available via LRM in due course?
Also what's the situation with the wagon D plates now? Are they available to order?

Rob, my photos do not do justice to them, the drawings show the amazing detail that is
in the castings.....they are just amazing.

Hi Andrew,
re the wagon plates, I need to get them reset, I am trying to figure out a sensible number
to go on a sheet. Maybe 3 pairs on a sheet. So you would have a LNER sheet and an LMS Sheet
separate. Then also the RCH plates, but both types on a sheet.
That way they would be nearer the price people might pay??????

As for the injectors, we are working through that now, once we have finalised our costs
we may sell them direct initially, but LRM will be able to access them too.
Looking at around £5.00 per pair. Since we are not yet sure how many exhibitions
there will be in the UK going forward.

Blowing our trumpet, they really are beautiful and will make a great detail addition to relevant locos.

Need about a month to sort things out more.

During the time since the last propper update in March 2021 I have
been completing a lot of wagons, spurred on to see them run on Scottiedogs layout
Ingleby. Here are some pics of these running days, the layout has progressed a long way
from some of these early shots. I have just got my old laptop working so have been able to
reduce the photo's to a size that can be posted.

Some more from the running days, this is my coal train, to fit the fiddle yard we could not fit all the wagons on,
I think we ran about 20 hoppers. I have 60, to be able to run one loaded and one empty of about 25 wagons each, plus some spare for sidings.
Paul, Jonathan and John were also there that day.

I like those Dave, I like them a lot.

Something similar is on my hit list for when I finish my current loco builds and slip a few wagons in.

Hi Dave,

I have a photo of your steel train hauled by a Q6 on Scottiedog's Ingleby layout.

I will post it here when I have processed the image.
