Re: Daves C & W Works
Having buggered up two attemps at making a accumulator (battery) box for the little BG, don't ask how you can cock up a simple box.
I realised on my second attempt, when I got far enough alongand nearly finished, I decided to see how it looked on the underframe, first mistake,
it was to long, bugger and other words of that type said very loudly. I was working off a standard version 8'-6" long.
I have looked and I have no details for the short underframe.
Does anybody out there have a size that would suit please, otherwise I will make it up to suit the space available.

Have a look at 10940N. Worth check truss posts are correctly spaced as well.

Re: Daves C & W Works
Thanks Mike, I will have a look at that drawing.
As you know so many drawings to sort through it hard keeping track, and I was looking for a box drawing like 12887D and not an underframe drawing.
EDIT:
Just checked that drawing, very useful, interesting that it does not show a vac reservoir, I assume the BG had them.

Re: Daves C & W Works
The drawing is for a non-vestibule vehicle but I believe the dimensions of the trussing and boxes are the same. Earlier D111 has no visible reservoirs.

Re: Daves C & W Works
Yes it is, but it must be similar.
Thanks for the photo, I have studied it and there are no vac reservoirs, plus an extra box to the main box interesting. I will have to look at the NRM lists to see if there is anything worth looking at when they decide to reopen.

Amazingly I have remade the battery box and if fits, must be the ersatz coffee crap the guards give us.
The roof has been painted as well.
Still I have mastered the art of catching a small leather ball in a glove whilst confined to solitary.
Some pics to show the slow boring progress.

Oy you two, where did you get those pics of me, spying on me in solitary and playing on me bike, is there no privacy.
Still managed to move the little bugger on a bit more steam pipe and trap fitted, which enabled me to finish the trussing and the cover (MJT) to vestibule.

Re: Daves C & W Works
Well like an idiot when I painted the roof in haste I forgot the lable board holders.
They have been added plus the rainstrip redone, I have also finished glazing the little thing, 30 individual pieces of clear plastic, must be mad.

Surely madness is taken as read for participation in this hobby?

I thought it was only a symptom of our leaving the real world at the workshop door

Do you want the 5 minute argument or the full half hour?
