Re: Guess the Station
Something makes me want to say Warkworth. I'm probably wrong but it has that feel about it.

Re: Guess the Station
Yes you can just about make it out on the card top left. There is not much left to show that Little Mill (for Craster) once boasted a small goods yard on the up side plus two connections to quarrys Whinstone (A local type of granite used for making kerbstones and road chippings) on the up side and Limestone with exchange sidings on the down side. The actual location is about 10 miles north of Alnmouth the nearest open station.

Re: Guess the Station
Not quite guess the station but guess the location in this vintage shot from a snowy March 1963.There is a station in the distance.
Re: Guess the Station
Gosforth East Junction on the North Tyneside loop. The station in the distance is Longbenton.

Re: Guess the Station
Far to easy wasn't it!
Re: Guess the Station
It was only easy for me because I lived there and instantly recognised the houses.
By the way, it is a very nice photo taken just before the signal gantry came down and I like it very much (for nostalgic reasons). Would it be possible for you to PM me a copy?

Re: Guess the Station
Try this one then. Not a passenger station but a station none the less. Still has a line passing it as well. sorry its a bit small had to reduce it down as the file size was to large.

I really have to stop doing this. Being in Japan means I can get to these posts quickly.
