I presume most of the NER fans on here have seen this very good colour photograph of former NER/LNER Atlantic no.732 taken at York in 1938.

The colour of the service vehicle on the RHS of the photo is very interesting.

Presumably it was blue, as many departmental vehicles were under the LNER. Though, as wirh m7ch departmental stock) it seems to have been a while since it's last repaint.

Faded Oxford Blue, looks to dark for the Cambridge version, which some vehicles were painted in that shade as well.
