Couple of obs

Is the W1 filmed at Cambridge? Looks like it from the S/B nameplate (plus the clean B12 may be a clue)

Ex GER 0-6-0 derailed?

Where was the 'cab ride; film taken?

And where did the pacific go over the edge?

And was the 2 Atlantics on a special as it look like early BR livery on the coach

Wish huntleys logo could be put in a corner!!!!

G'Day Gents

I would say the cab ride was in the Cambridge area, the last few moments was of it arriving at Cambridge.

Not sure where the Pacific went over the edge, but it had a riveted tender....A1 or A2 ??

The footage at approx 1.50-2.03 is on the LNWR line from Oxford to Cambridge passing either 'Old North Road' or 'Lords Bridge' (probably the latter). It's then entering Cambridge under Hills road(?) bridge.

There are two shots of M&GN trains and the ship on it's side in a graving dock, I think, was at Grimsby.

I believe there was such an incident with a ship at Immingham's graving dock.

Could this be the incident described in RCTS Vol 6b page 70?
That was January 1953.

Unless there were other such incidents, and the Humber ports made a practice of letting ships capsize in dock?
(Such things never happened on the Tyne of course!)

I try to capsize only when afloat, but must admit that a couple of O4s to haul me upright would be useful!

The section at 1:17 is the GNR Single with ECJS "Flying Scotsman" 6 wheel train, at Hitchin, moving off south through Benslow Bridge...

That fits with the following film of the 2 GN Atlantics, also 1953.
