BR A4 Experimental Livery.

Post by Nerron »

I have just received the Hornby Model A4 Merlin in this livery. I am concerned that the smokebox and boiler band lining of orange/black/orange is incorrect.I believe it should be red/white for the smokebox/boiler border and red/red for the boiler bands. Can anyone say with certainty which is correct?

Thanks,

Ron.

Hi
This has just come to light on RM Web forum as well.
RCTS state Red Grey Cream lining to tender cab and running plate. No mention of boiler bands or smokebox lining colours, cant see it being orange black orange. I suggest you contact Modelfair asap

Thanks Mick. That's my post on RMWeb.I agree that o/b/o is highly improbable.I have sent an email to Modelfair. If Fox do the lining for this livery I may be able to correct it.

Double red as per LNWR boilerband lining.
