Graeme, my personal view is that you should try a blogger or wordpress account to publish your work and pictures. Image hosting is free on both and you can earn money from both blogging if you set the accounts up right.
That way your pictures are free to view and you are able to sell your products more easily with your own website.
Just my two cents.

Re: Atlantic's works: J6 & K2 parts at last.
I should have acknowledged this sooner. The application of Ivatt flush-finish repair methods to Stirling's visibly riveted tenders provides an interesting explanation.dlester wrote: ↑Wed Jun 28, 2017 4:26 pmSorry, it's been so long since I last checked in here, but as I'm hunting through my own private list of Stirling tenders, I can now answer this question.Atlantic 3279 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 19, 2016 10:48 am After finding time to look at some pictures, I realize that my earlier question about visible rivets on the sidesheets is easy to answer. Stirling tenders they may be, but not one image I've seen showing what appears to be a class D or class C tender has rivets heads showing above soleplate level.
It appears that snaphead rivets were in use during Stirling's time in office, and that with Ivatt, counter-sunk rivets were then used. There are some beautiful images of newly built Stirling Singles in LTC Rolt's "Patrick Stirling's Locomotives", Hamish Hamilton, 1964, especially page 59 which shows a close up of No.5, with what looks like a 3553 or 3850 gallon tender attached.
The other image I have showing "snaphead" rivets on a Stirling "D" tender is GNRS Archive ref P/05/1122, which shows No. 4137 passing Harringay sometime after 1928 (number on the cab side). Presumably, this is before 1931, as Malcolm Crawley's tender allocations has 4137 attached to "C" class tender 1028 from 17/1/31 through to 1948.

Possibly something to consider when I have more time, but I wouldn't want to reduce my participation in this website - it has been a good home to me for eight years now and I owe it my continued support.S.A.C. Oh absolutely - continue to post here. Put the links from the website in an update with a description.Atlantic 3279 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 03, 2017 8:40 amPossibly something to consider when I have more time, but I wouldn't want to reduce my participation in this website - it has been a good home to me for eight years now and I owe it my continued support.S.A.C. Re: Atlantic's works: More images to vanish?
Pretty much my intention henceforth. Subject to checking with Richard after his summer travels, I'll also try (eventually) to re-post any lost images (even the older ones) in an equivalent way. I want firstly to be sure that I won't be stressing the capacity of his image storage arrangements....

Re: Atlantic's works: More images to vanish?
I've always reduced my picture file sizes to the region of 150kb, and never had a problem loading them to the site. (I'm sure I was following advice from somewhere on the forum, but I can't find it at the moment.)
Obviously, my photography is not up to the highest standards (to put it mildly!), but I just load jpegs from my camera or mobile, and then crop and compress using MS Office PIcture Manager. If the original image (for some reason) is not a jpeg, then good old MS Paint is good at converting one format to another.
Low tech, but it's simple and it works.
Edit 4/7/17
Sorry - what I meant to say please could Atlantic please recover some of his images - because this thread does form a most useful 'work-of-reference' and a source of ideas!
(Without of course incurring so much time coping with computers that the building of railways gets delayed!)

Re: Atlantic's works: More images to vanish?
Quick update: This thread is not dead, but at present I'm "treading water" for a variety of reasons. Many weeks of fatigue, culminating in three weeks of obvious flu-like virus haven't helped. Nonetheless, thanks to some invaluable assistance, to be credited in due course, etches for the additional valve gear parts needed to simplify the P2 conversions should soon be on order - unless the etchers turn out to be too snooty to deal with somebody who has criticised their failure to say what they really mean on their website. The firm intention of restoring images throughout my thread now exists, but I'm waiting for clearance for the large number of necessary direct uploads, from our webmaster. I'm also working slowly on a proper index for the thread for the first time ever. Re-finishing of P2 Lord President to a full/permanent standard is also under way, in no particular hurry, following its partial dismantling from a temporarily finished state - that was the only "master" I had for the resin Bugatti fronts that were produced a couple of months back.

Re: Atlantic's works: Back to normal very soon?
Hi Atlantic3279
Is that the conversion to change the caprotti gear on 2001 Cock 'O' The North to the valve gear as used in 2002 - 2006.
If so, may I ask how much it would be to purchase valve gear to convert both sides on the P2 chassis as I would certainly be interested in acquiring the parts for the conversion or how much it would cost if I was to send my loco to you for the the conversion to be done as a professional job.
Look forward to reading your reply and thankyou for all your advice.

I for one will continue to follow this thread, regardless how long Atlantic 3279 takes to build Atlantic 3279.

The photo of a model of 3279 above was built by the late John Edgson. Jonathan and I saw it on the late Bert Collins layout back in May when we visited.

It has also run on Grantham and GK has seen it. I thought it might encourage him.
