Are there any books with track plans of stations owned by the LNER?

Post by Nova »

I'm aware that there's a book on GWR station track plans, so I'm wondering if there's an equivalent for the LNER

What area is your interest?

The various Middleton Press books have OS extracts. Peter Paye includes station track plans in his books covering former GER lines. The GERS has published a series of articles on GER stations in its Journal, all of which include plans of various types.

any book containing track plans of Doncaster and Selby, simply put I have a long term plan involving those two stations

of course I hadn't considered an OS map  , in which case which ones would have a detailed track plan of those two stations, with any connecting sheds and other features as of the 1950s and 60s

The National Library of Scotland map site will start you off, used on the Forum on a number of occasions.

For Doncaster, a 6" OS map is at http://maps.nls.uk/view/100949687

Selby is covered by 2 maps... change the ref to 100947188 & 100947212,

I hope this is of help,

Steve

thank you for sending me on the right track (no pun intended)

I've actually found another map of Doncaster which serves my purposes just as well
